• One of WovenLight’s partners was interested in acquiring a $5bn healthcare company.
• Conducted an outside-in assessment of value creation through data & analytics based on expert interviews and Commercial Due Diligence (CDD).
• Supported Phase I & II of the deal process, focusing on value creation, analytics maturity, and disruption risks from AI/ML.
Approach
• Conducted initial outside-in diligence using data from the Company Lens product and scoring from the Calculation Engine.
• Extended the assessment with internal expertise and desk research.
• Refined the assessment during Phases I and II through live processes, including management interviews, Vendor Due Diligence (VDD), and deal data room insights.
Interventions
• Identified 11 value play opportunities, sizing their impacts, which represented material uplift in EBITDA.
• Provided a perspective on the value of proprietary data and the company’s existing analytics maturity.
• Delivered insights on AI/ML disruption risks likely to impact core business lines, helping to understand downside risks.
• The assessment underwrote the deal, which was signed after offers were submitted.
